How Print Size Calculation Works
The physical print size of an image depends on its pixel dimensions and the selected DPI (dots per inch).
To calculate the physical width and height, divide each pixel dimension by the target DPI.
Print Width (Inches)
= Pixel Width ÷ DPI
Print Height (Inches) = Pixel Height ÷ DPI
Centimeters = Inches × 2.54
Print Height (Inches) = Pixel Height ÷ DPI
Centimeters = Inches × 2.54
Example
A 2400 × 3000 pixel image at 300 DPI produces an 8 × 10 inch print.
The same image at 150 DPI produces a 16 × 20 inch print.
